By law, the deadline for the analysis of the request by consulates is up to 730 days, but unfortunately these deadlines are usually not complied with, and in some cases the waiting time exceeds 10 years. This option is recommended for descendants who do not have an urgent need to be declared Italian and do not have availability to travel and reside in Italy. If the waiting time makes no difference, this is the indicated option.
